The gift of the forest
I, Moon, want to tell you a story that happened in a distant forest, where the animals learned something about sharing.
In this forest lived a vain hare who thought she was the prettiest of all. One day she saw a weaver working near the village and fell in love with a sweater.
That night, the hare snuck out and took the garment. When she put it on, she felt so elegant that she decided to hold a contest to show off. “Whoever looks best dressed will win my friendship,” she announced to the other animals.
The animals got nervous and went out to look for clothes. A rabbit found an old sweater. A squirrel found a very large t-shirt. A fox got some accessories.
On the day of the contest, the hare paraded around in her perfect sweater. But she noticed something curious: the other animals, even though their clothes weren’t perfect, looked happy.
The rabbit was helping the squirrel with her t-shirt while the fox was lending his accessories to the smaller animals.
A weaver who was passing by stopped to observe. “How interesting,” she murmured. “The most beautiful garment is the one that’s shared.”
The hare felt uncomfortable. Her sweater was perfect, but suddenly she didn’t feel so special. She saw that the squirrel was cold and, without thinking much about it, she took off the garment and offered it to her.
The animals learned that hand-woven garments had something special, but that something became bigger when it was shared.
I, Moon, saw how these animals discovered that having something beautiful is good, but sharing it is better.
Since then, in that forest, the animals lend clothes to each other when someone needs them.
Process
With the arrival of autumn, we present our Collaboration 51 with Maydi, an alliance that marks the third time this renowned Argentine brand has been part of our platform.
After the success of our previous Collaborations, we return with María Abdala-Zolezzi to explore new dimensions of responsible knitwear.
This new collection reaffirms the fundamental values that have made Maydi a benchmark in Latin American sustainable design. Each sweater, cardigan, top and accessory maintains the artisanal production philosophy that characterizes the brand: pieces handmade from start to finish, without generating excess stock, with the same Patagonian merino wool and local fibers that have been their distinctive hallmark since 2014.
The proposal for this Collaboration 51 preserves the essence that initially captivated us: the deep connection with Argentine natural resources and the unwavering commitment to local production. As in previous Collaborations, each piece carries with it the story of the artisans who created it from their homes, maintaining the balance between tradition and contemporaneity that defines Maydi.
The brand continues its work of cultural preservation through manual knitting and artisanal loom techniques, which allow each garment to be unique. This made-to-measure production philosophy avoids waste and guarantees that each customer receives a piece designed to last a lifetime.
María Abdala-Zolezzi maintains her focus on meticulous detail, where quality becomes evident in every stitch. The Wildlife Friendly certification obtained in 2018 remains valid as testimony to the brand’s commitment to conserving the Patagonian ecosystem and coexistence between production and wildlife.
For this new season, Maydi presents a careful selection of pieces that embrace the warmth necessary for the season, without losing the versatility and timelessness that characterize their designs. The extraordinary softness of Patagonian merino wool becomes the protagonist of garments that accompany the coolest days with elegance and comfort.
With this third Collaboration, we reinforce our shared commitment to conscious fashion. Each piece in this capsule represents a responsible decision: choosing quality over quantity, tradition over mass production, and respect for the planet over ephemeral trends.
This Collaboration 51 once again celebrates the richness of craftsmanship and the persistence of a brand that has demonstrated that it is possible to create beautiful fashion without compromising fundamental values.
With Maydi, we reaffirm that the future of the textile industry lies in respect for traditions, environmental care, and genuine support for the communities that keep ancestral techniques alive.
