The secret of the shimmering threads
I, Moon , want to tell you about a strange town where no one lived in the present—it simply didn’t exist.
Some people only spoke of the past. Others only thought about the future, but no one paid attention to what was happening today.
No one noticed the flowers or listened to the birds. They lived without seeing what was right in front of them.
In that town lived a seamstress. She was quiet and worked in a small house with large windows. Few people knew her, but it was said that her hands were magical.
What no one knew was her secret: every full moon, while everyone slept, she would go out into the forest with a small bowl. She would collect the light that appeared between the leaves and mix it with drops of gold. Then, patiently, she would work with that mixture until she created shimmering threads.
One day, an older woman came into her workshop. She looked sad and tired.
“I only live remembering better times,” she said with a sigh. “I can’t let go of the past.”
The seamstress nodded and took a soft piece of fabric. She cut it carefully and began to sew using her special threads. When she finished, she handed her a shawl.
“Wear it when you feel lost in memories,” she said.
The woman draped the shawl over her shoulders. Suddenly, her face changed. She looked around as if seeing the world for the first time.
“What is this?” she asked in surprise. “I can smell the flowers. I feel the sun on my skin.”
“It’s the present,” replied the seamstress with a smile. “My threads are made from moonlight. They help you feel the now.”
The next day, a young man arrived. He was always nervous, worried about what might happen tomorrow.
The seamstress made him a scarf with the same magical threads. When he put it on, he took a deep breath and relaxed.
“It’s like time stopped,” he said. “I don’t feel rushed. I’m not afraid.”
Soon, word spread. People from all over the town came to see the seamstress. For each one she made something different: gloves, hats, vests. All with her moonlight threads.
Those who wore these garments changed. They began to notice new things: the taste of food, the laughter of children, the color of flowers. They no longer lived in memories or future fears. They were, at last, awake to the present.
The whole town transformed. People walked more slowly. They stopped to talk. They enjoyed the little things.
From my place in the sky, I see the people with their magical garments glowing softly as they walk, as if each one carried a piece of the moon. And I understand that in each thread of light, patiently woven, lives the simplest secret of the universe: that only the now exists.
Process
With the arrival of this new moon, we present our Collaboration 49. This time, we once again join forces with Tíscar Espadas, a Spanish designer who sees a story in every garment.
A graduate in Menswear Design from the Royal College of Art in London, Tíscar founded her brand in 2019. Since then, her work has focused on transforming respect for craftsmanship into a sustainable practice, prioritizing quality over quantity.
“In a world that leans toward immediacy, choosing the time it takes to create something, choosing the handmade, is almost an act of resistance and respect,” says Tíscar. This commitment is reflected in every aspect of her work—from the selection of materials to the construction of each piece.
From her studio in Madrid’s Quintana neighborhood, Tíscar and her team create garments that defy the fast-paced cycles of the fashion industry. “We don’t need to produce more, but better,” she explains. “For us, each garment is a creative challenge—a chance to develop a product that fulfills one or several functions but, above all, sparks something in the wearer, making them feel they carry something unique, valuable—ideally… poetic.”
In this Collaboration, we present pieces that aren’t designed for a season but are part of an ongoing narrative. “I’m interested in creating chapters that gradually build a more complete story,” the designer says.
What distinguishes this new installment is a deeper dialogue between tradition and innovation. Tíscar has explored new textile possibilities while staying true to her commitment to 100% natural and organic materials.
“Throughout the year, we collect ‘deadstock’ materials we come across, and when it’s time to define the fabric for each design, we face a composition challenge that’s almost painterly,” she says of her creative process.
This artisanal approach is especially meaningful in our times. As she herself notes: “My aim is not to produce more clothes for the sake of it—there’s already an overwhelming global supply created under the mercantilist concept of fashion as a disposable, fleeting object.”
Her alternative is clear: “I’d like these garments to transcend time and become part of someone’s life, their memories, their identity.”
Interdisciplinarity is another core pillar of Tíscar’s work. “Collaboration is one of the parts of my work I enjoy and find most inspiring,” she says. “I love sharing ideas and building them together with the vision, talent, and knowledge of other creatives and artisans I admire.” This collaborative spirit allows each piece to be enriched with diverse perspectives and techniques.
For Collaboration 49, Tíscar delves deeper into exploring forms that interact with the human body in surprising and unexpected ways. “I’m inspired by the everyday, by memories lived and those I may never experience; I enjoy reconstructing shapes like memories, but also imagining new forms that never existed,” she shares.
The result is a collection that invites reflection on our relationship with clothing and what it really means to get dressed. Each garment is conceived as a means to build identity and tell personal stories. “Clothing carries and creates stories. I hope they endure and live long lives. I hope someone inhabits them, finds refuge in this path toward beauty through the pieces we create,” she expresses.
On this new Collaboration with Loona, the designer shares: “We are deeply grateful to continue walking this path together. Our shared philosophy of understanding fashion as a conscious and meaningful act of creation has allowed this relationship to flourish and deepen. With each new Collaboration, we discover new ways to bring our visions into dialogue.”
In the words of Sharon Drijanski, founder of Loona: “Tíscar doesn’t just design clothing—she shapes a world. Her work speaks not only through the fabric but through everything surrounding it: intention, collaboration, trust in the process. Like many creators of our time, she doesn’t limit herself to making garments. She’s giving form to a world.”
At a time when value is often measured in numbers, Collaboration 49 reminds us that there are other paths—those of dreams, imagination, and conscious creation. As Tíscar tells us: “It’s about offering vital experiences around beauty.”
And so, from Madrid to the Americas, this Collaboration once again invites us to experience garments that not only clothe the body but tell stories, preserve artisanal techniques, and—above all—remind us that every choice we make can be a poetic act of resistance against the speed of our times. What story are you ready to inhabit?

CHAPTER VI
This new chapter presents garments with a serene and striking presence. Modern shapes that do not follow trends but inhabit a time of their own. These are pieces designed to last—inside and out. Every line, every volume, every fold speaks of a contemporary vision that honors the timeless.
Tíscar works with the finest materials available, chosen with intention, always seeking balance between texture, drape, and care. Nothing is accidental: there is a deep attentiveness in every decision—from the fabric selection to the way each garment lives on the body.
This season is an invitation to dress with awareness, with freedom, and with a profound connection to what endures. These are pieces so honest, so habitable, we wish we could live in them.
